Prysmian, a company leader in
energy and telecommunications cable systems, is the frontrunner
in a $4.5 billion bid for three projects in Germany. Tso
Amprion, one of the largest transmission system operators in
Europe, has selected the Italian consortium as the "preferred
bidder" for the BalWin1 and BalWin2 offshore grid connection
systems and the Dc34 underground cable project. A press release
explained today that negotiations will now commence with the
goal of finalising contracts by January 15, 2024.
