On the basis of a 2014 agreement,
Hungary and Russia have signed the necessary documents to move
forward with the construction of the Hungarian Paks-2 nuclear
power plant, according to the Ria Novosti news agency. The
Paks-2 plant, which will include two new 1200 Megawatt Russian
Vver reactors, is expected to cost 12.5 billion euros, with the
Russian government contributing 10 billion.
