Local media reported today that
receding floodwaters have revealed a trail of devastation left
in central Greece by a rainstorm that raged for three days. The
storm is responsible for the deaths of at least seven people and
has caused damage estimated to be worth billions of euros.
According to the newspaper Kathimerini, hundreds of people were
still stranded on Friday in the central plain of Thessaly, which
had borne the brunt of the relentless deluge caused by Storm
Daniel.
