On the twenty-first anniversary
of the murder of Serbian former Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, a
mural dedicated to him was vandalised in Belgrade's centre.
Serbia's pro-European and reform-minded Prime Minister was
assassinated on March 12, 2003. Red paint was splattered over
the face of Djindjic, and derogatory words were written beneath
the mural. It is not the first time the artwork, created in
2018, has been vandalised.
