"I am here to tell the people of
North Macedonia that you are on track to join the EU. I look
forward to welcoming you," said the President of the EU
Commission Ursula von der Leyen during her stop in North
Macedonia on her mini-tour in the Western Balkans.
"As you know our motto is "united in diversity" and Skopje is
already an example of this having obtained the prestigious title
of the European Capital of Culture of 2028," she added.
