Transport Ministers from eight
EU countries reiterated their clear opposition to the Euro 7 and
expressed their irritation against the Commission's closure to
dialogue, starting with Vice President Timmermans. The ministers
confirmed doubts and misgivings about the CO2 dossier. Italian
Ministry sources reported at the end of the meeting of Italian
Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini with
seven of his European counterparts.
According to the same sources, full agreement between Rome,
Berlin and Warsaw was confirmed. The meeting was promoted by
Czech Minister Martin Kupka. Ministers from the Czech Republic,
Italy, Germany and Poland spoke in attendance, while ministers
from Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Portugal connected from
their countries.
