Female employees in Croatia
continue to be underpaid, earning 16% less than men, according
to the portal MojPosao, which issued the statement on Thursday
in honour of International Women's Day.
According to MojPosao, the average net salary for a man in
2023 was €1,290, while that for a woman was €1,079. The largest
gender pay gaps were found in retail (20%) and administration
(19%), with the smallest in companies producing, transporting,
and distributing electricity, oil, water, and waste (5%) and
arts, entertainment, and sports (6%).
