Italy's MotoGP world champion and
standings leader Francesco Bagnaia has said he hopes to be back
for next weekend's San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix at
Misano after being in a horrific crash in Sunday's race in
Barcelona.
The Ducati factory rider, who started in pole position, lost
control after the second bend, was thrown over the handlebars in
front of the chasing pack and his leg was hit by the KTM of Brad
Binder.
Ducati Team Manager Davide Tardozzi said tests showed Bagnaia
did not break any bones in the accident.
"I didn't have much grip on the warm-up lap," Bagnaia, 26, told
Sky television.
"I had a nasty bang.
"At the moment it's difficult to understand what happened.
"It certainly wasn't a normal fall.
"I'll go everything to be at Misano".
