Italian police have arrested a French
femicide suspect in Genoa, sources said on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old man is accused of having killed his partner a
few days ago in the French town of Antibes.
He was arrested at Genoa's Brignole train station having crossed
the Italian border at Ventimiglia.
Police were made suspicious by his haste to leave the station
and carried out a spot check, which led them to discover that a
European arrest warrant had just been issued for him.
The man has Algerian roots and it is suspected that he was
trying to embark a ship for Algeria.
