(ANSA) - Milan, October 21 - Expo CEO Giuseppe Sala
confirmed Wednesday that the World's Fair would close as
scheduled on October 31 despite calls to stay open longer.
"With the large number of visitors and enthusiasm of these
last few days I would put my tiredness to one side and also put
my name down to join the party of those who want to prolong
Expo," Sala said.
"But this is impossible because there are rules, those of
the Bureau of International Expositions, and we have to respect
them," he explained.
On November 2 work will begin to dismantle the pavilions,
Sala said.
