A man has died from gunshot wounds
sustained during celebrations in Naples for Napoli's Serie A
title win, police sources said early Friday morning.
The 26-year-old was one of four people hurt by gunfire during
the spontaneous street partying that took place across the city
after the local team drew 1-1 against Udinese.
Three people were also reportedly injured by firecrackers.
On Thursday evening Napoli clinched the Scudetto with five games
to spare after the away match result gave them an unassailable
16-point lead at the top of the table.
It was the third Italian championship crown in the history of
the Naples side, and their first since 1990, when late soccer
great Diego Maradona played for them.
