(ANSA) - BELGRADE - The Yugoslav Cinematheque in Belgrade will host the Italian Cinema Festival from 16 to 24 September, organized by the Cultural Excellence Association in collaboration with Luce/Cinecittà Institute in Rome and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade. The Festival, which comes to Serbia for the second edition - the first in 2016 was very successful - will focus on the first and second works made by a new generation of Italian authors, already screened at the Venice Biennale. Some other events will take place during the festival, which has a space for meetings with industry professionals in Serbia with a view to relaunching cooperation between the two countries in terms of co-production. The following new Italian films are going to be screened for the first time in Serbia: - 'The habit of beauty' di Mirko Pincelli - 'Cuori Puri' by Roberto De Paolis Maino - 'Dopo la Guerra' by Annarita Zambrano - 'Ho amici in Paradiso' by Fabrizio Maria Cortese - 'Piuma' by Roan Johnson - 'Il più grande sogno' by Michele Vannucci - 'A pugni chiusi' by Pierpaolo de Sanctis - 'Noi e la Giulia' by Edoardo Leo - 'Una nobile causa' by Emilio Briguglio. The opening event will be attended by Paolo Genovese, currently one of the most important Italian directors. The Festival will also be an opportunity to review some of the historic movies and authors who have marked the history of Italian Cinema, thus offering a full immersion in the 20th-century Italian cinema which began in the 2016 edition of the festival.
