Turkish police have arrested two
people in relation to Sunday morning's gun attack on the
Catholic church of St Mary in an Istanbul suburb in which one
person was killed and several were injured.
The suspects are from Tajikistan and Russia and they are
believed to be affiliated with Isis, according to Anadolu news
agency citing the interior ministry.
The ministry said in total Turkish police have carried out 30
raids and apprehended 47 people suspected of involvement in the
attack.
On Sunday morning two masked gunmen reportedly entered the
church in the Istanbul suburb of Büyükdere during Mass and fired
shots into the air before turning their guns on a Turkish
national identified only as C.T. who had stood up to protest.
