It is "clear" that there is not
majority in the European Parliament in favour of stopping the
European Medicines Agency's (EMA) move from London to Amsterdam
after Brexit and reassigning it to Milan, EP environment
committee chair Giovanni La Via said Tuesday.
La Via is preparing a resolution on the EMA transfer after an
inspection of temporary Amsterdam offices on February 22.
He said, however, that MEPs would continue to try to keep the
case open, forcing EU member States to have a new vote on the
issue.
Milan lost out to Amsterdam in a tie-break lottery last
November.
