The Vatican on Wednesday said
transsexuals could be baptised like other faithful and that they
can also act as godparent or witness at a wedding.
Homosexuals who are living with another person can also be
godparents, said the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
The Vatican's doctrinal watchdog issued the statement in
response to questions from faithful transsexuals and gays.
