Talks between Pope Francis and French
President Emmanuel Macron in the Vatican Friday focused on the
the climate crisis and the Middle East, the Holy See said.
It said Macron, who also met Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro
Parolin, had discussed "the protection of the environment in
light of the results of the recent COP26 in Glasgow.
"There was also an exchange of views on the prospects for the
upcoming French presidency of the EU, as well as France's
commitment in Libya, the Middle East and Africa," it said.
