Racism is intolerable but
violence is wrong, Pope Francis said on the Grorge Floyd case at
his general audience on Wednesday.
"We cannot tolerate nor turn a blind eye to any kind of
racism of exclusion and we demand respect for the sacredness of
all human lives," Francis said on Floyd's death while being
detained by Minneapolis police.
"At the same time we must recognize that the violence of the
last few nights is self-destructive and self-harming," the pope
added on the violent protests across America in which several
people have been killed.
"Nothing is gained by violence, and much is lost," Francis
said.
