Pope Francis on
Wednesday urged the crowd gathered in St. Peter's Square for his
weekly audience to join him in prayers for the victims of recent
acts of terrorism in both Pakistan and Australia. "May the Lord
receive the dead into His peace, comfort the families, and
convert the hearts of the violent," said the pope. On Tuesday,
at least 132 children were killed in a Taliban attack on a
school in Pakistan while on the same day three people, including
the perpetrator, were killed in a Sydney cafe siege.
