Gennaro Gattuso is no longer the
coach of Olympique Marseille after leaving the French side by
mutual consent following Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Brest, French
media reported on Monday.
Former Italy and AC Milan midfielder Gattuso came in for Spanish
coach Marcelino late in September but his arrival did not turn
around the club's fortunes.
They are currently ninth in the French top flight, having failed
to win a league game so far in 2024.
L'Equipe reported that the 46-year-old bid farewell to
Marseille's players and staff early on Monday.
