(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 26 - Napoli Chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis
is under investigation in Rome as a formality after Naples
prosecutors sent to the Italian capital documents about the
acquisition of Nigeria striker and scudetto winning star Victor
Osimhen, legal sources said Tuesday.
The prosecutors of the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office have
entered De Laurentiis's name in the register of suspects on
charges of false accounting as a "due act" after the
transmission of the documents by the Neapolitan prosecutors,
they said.
The proceedings are related to alleged fictitious capital gains
around the purchase of Osimhen in 2020 from French club Lille.
