Italy and Juventus captain Leonardo
Bonucci's agent on Monday denied reports that the 36-year-old
Euro 2020 winner wanted to leave the Turin giants.
"I'm hearing a lot of fanciful market rumours about Bonucci, but
his main desire is to stay at Juve, of which he was captain
until a few months ago, to carve out his role within such an
important group", Alessandro Lucci told ANSA.
Lucci added that if Bonucci were to leave he would only go to
another top club.
"He is a world-class footballer," explained Lucci, "captain of
the Azzurri and leader of a team like Juve. Should market
situations materialise, we would only consider opportunities at
his level to find the best solution for everyone."
Viterbo-born Bonucci, one of the best defenders of his
generation, has not played for Juve in months.
