AC Milan said Friday that Portugal
forward Rafael Leao has extended his contract with them until
June 2028.
The 23-year-old, who is widely considered one of the most
exciting young players in the game, joined Milan from Lille in
2019, and has scored 41 goals and created 29 assists in 162
appearances for the Serie A giants since.
He was named "Best Player in Serie A" last season.
"I'm happy," Leao told reporters.
"Let's hope we can do great things in the future.
"We want to win lots of important things next year".
Under the new deal, Leao is reportedly set to earn five million
euros a year plus bonuses.
