(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - Italy midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo is
reportedly close to leaving AS Roma for Galatasaray for a
transfer fee of around 23 million euros, bonuses included.
The 23-year-old, who scored in the winning goal when Roma beat
Feyenoord 1-0 to win the UEFA Conference League final last
season, put in a transfer request after falling out of favour
with coach Jose Mourinho.
He had been linked to AC Milan and Premier League strugglers
Bournemouth but the January transfer window closed without a
move.
Now the Istanbul side have offered a fresh start to the
attacking talent, who has come under heavy fire from Roma fans.
Zaniolo is reportedly set to sign a contact running until 2027
with an annual salary of 3.5 million euros and a buy-out clause
of 35 million euros. (ANSA).
