Twenty-one-year-old Roma ultra
Filippo Lombardi got three years in jail Thursday for sparking
scuffles ahead of a Champions League semi-final between
Liverpool and Roma on April 24.
He was acquitted of personally attacking Sean Cox, an Irish
Liverpool fan left in a coma by the attack and now paralysed on
his right side.
Lombardi was sentenced in Liverpool.
On August 24 another Roma fan, Daniele Sciusco, was
sentenced in Liverpool to two and a half years in jail
for clashes ahead of the Champions League semi-final first
leg.
The judges recognised that Sciusco, too, did not have a hand
in the
attack on Cox.
Cox recently came out of a coma but is paralysed all down his
right side, his wife said last week.
