The interior ministry's sports security committee on Tuesday imposed restrictions on access to AS Roma and Lazio's next home games after violence between fans following Sunday's derby match between the sides.
The committee said only fans with the Tessera del Tifoso supporters' card will be able to access the 'curve' end stands of Rome's Stadio Olimpico for Lazio's match against Napoli in Serie A on Sunday.
The same restrictions will apply for Roma's Serie A match against Empoli on January 21 and their Italian Cup clash against the same opponents on January 31.
The teams hardcore 'ultra' fans gather in the end stands of the stadium.
Furthermore, Napoli fans have been banned from the Lazio match for fear of clashes between the Neapolitans and Roma supporters.
Roma fan Daniele De Santis Roma faces homicide charges after shooting and killing a Napoli supporter, Ciro Esposito, in clashes before last year's Italian Cup final.
Roma are second in Serie A with 40 points from 18 games, three behind leaders Juventus, after Sunday's derby ended 2-2.
Lazio are third with 31 points, one more than Napoli.
