Italy coach Antonio Conte
said Monday he was "not prejudiced" against mercurial Liverpool
striker Mario Balotelli and the ex-Milan man could regain a
place in the Azzurri line-up.
Conte omitted Balotelli from his debut squad to play
Netherlands in a September 4 friendly in Bari and Norway in a
September 9 Euro 2016 qualifier in Oslo, calling up recently
recovered Milan striker Stephan el Shaarawy.
"Balotelli? I don't have any prejudice...Who's to say that
(players) who aren't here now won't come back, and vice versa,"
the former Juventus coach told a press conference.
Conte, who led Juve to three straight scudettos, took over
from Cesare Prandelli after Italy's World Cup group-stage exit.
