Valpolicella wines will star in a coast-to-coast tour of the United States. Tastings promoted by the Valpolicella Wine Consortium will showcase its labels in New York on November 12 and 13 and San Diego in California on November 15. Activities in New York will be organized in collaboration with Filippo Bartolotta, a journalist and wine educator, who is known as the "sommelier to the stars" who has promoted exclusive events for collectors, connoisseurs and American restaurants for the past two decades. Bartolotta is well acquainted with the world of Valpolicella: he is a professor of the Valpolicella Education Program (VEP), a high-level course on Dop Valpolicella dedicated to international operators, journalists and influencers in collaboration with the University of Verona, the Catholic University of Milan, Alma - International school of Italian cuisine, Nomisma and Sib (Italian patents society). A tasting in San Diego is scheduled on November 15. Veneto wines will be the protagonists at Sommcon, an event for professionals to discuss the wine business. A masterclass will then be entirely dedicated to Valpolicella Doc and Valpolicella Doc Superiore wines, along with two institutional bar areas. Activities will be organized in collaboration with Lars Leicht, the vice president and editor in chief of The Somm Journal Magazine.
