A group of leftwing students on
Monday occupied the dean's office at Rome's La Sapienza
university in protest at links with Israel and in solidarity
with Palestinians in Gaza.
They said they were doing so to denounced the body's
"complicity" with Israel a day before the Senate there decides
on further cooperation with Israel on academic projects.
"Enough deals with Israeli universities and the war industry,"
said the group, Cambiare Rotta (Change Course).
