A piece of antisemitic graffiti
appeared Thursday afternoon on a wall near the synagogue in
Milan, saying 'Out of Gaza, Jews dung", reported centre-left
Democratic Party (PD) councillor Daniele Nahum, a member of the
Jewish community, in the city council.
"The writing appeared a few minutes ago and I believe it is a
serious act, a sign of a very serious climate because it takes
us back to dark times for this city," he said.
"We arrive at (Holocaust) Remembrance Day (on January 27) with a
climate that is not positive and not nice, in a city that has
suffered deportations.
"I strongly want to say that I no longer want to see that
climate and democratic institutions cannot allow it".
