The meeting in Brussels with European
Commission experts on Italy's National Recovery and Resilience
Plan (NRRP) went very well, European Affairs Minister Raffaele
Fitto said on Monday.
"It went very well, I am optimistic. We are working in a
positive manner," Fitto told reporters after the meeting with
the head of the European Recovery Task Force, Celine Gauer.
Government sources said discussions focused on proposed overall
changes to the EU-funded post-Covid programme to make the
economy greener and more modern and on the additional chapter on
energy efficiency and diversification presented under the
separate programme RePowerEU.
"Work on the revision will continue in the coming weeks in close
cooperation between the Italian government and the European
Commission," the sources added.
