Italy and Greece together can achieve
important results said Premier Giorgia Meloni on Monday,
congratulating Greek conservative leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis for
his strong second-term victory in parliamentary elections on
Sunday.
"I have congratulated @kmitsotakis on his electoral success,"
said Meloni on Twitter.
"I have extended affectionate wishes of good luck with his work.
Italy and Greece together can achieve important results for the
benefit of our peoples, our nations and our continent," she
added.
Mitsotakis' centre-right Nea Dimokratia party took 158 seats in
elections on Sunday, securing an outright majority in Greece's
300-seat parliament.
Far-right parties also made gains.
