Silvio Berlusconi's ex wife Veronica
Lario is to attend the funeral of the four-time ex premier and
media mogul in Milan cathedral on Wednesday, according to the
order of the day.
Lario, 66, who was listed under her real name of Miriam
Bartolini, will sit in the last spot in the first row comprising
the billioanire's family, alongside the three children she had
with Berlusconi: Barbara, Eleonora, and Luigi.
Lario, a former actress known for having her arm chopped off in
Dario Argento's hit shocker Tenebre, met Berlusconi after he was
impressed by her topless performance in the play The Magnificent
Cuckold, a 1921 work by Belgian playwright Fernand Crommelynck,
in Milan in 1980.
He left his first wife, Carla Elvira dall'Oglio, who gave him
his eldest children Marina and Pier Silvio, a few years later
and married Lario.
She left him in 2009 saying she was fed up with the young women
he was frequenting and describing his young women candidates for
the European Parliament as "shameless rubbish".
