The government and the Audit Court
have agreed to set up a new relationship model after tensions
over the government's move to strip the fìnancial magistrates of
concomitant control of National Recovery and Resilience Plan
(NRRP) spending, a note from the office of Premier Giorgia
Meloni said after "cordial" talks between the government and the
court Thursday.
At the meeting between the government and the Court of Auditors,
"issues related to the implementation of the NRRP, the use of
the Supplementary Fund, and the audit activity of the Court of
Auditors were discussed," said the statement from the PM's
office at Palazzo Chigi in Rome.
"The need for full and loyal cooperation between the
institutions was agreed on, and the will to strengthen
comparison and dialogue was reaffirmed, with the adoption, while
respecting competences, of a more intense and punctual model of
relations and exchange of information".
