The government is to meet justices
for the Audit Court at the premier's office Thursday after
recent tension caused by reports the executive planned to curb
the court's oversight powers on the massive EU-funded post-COVID
National Recovery and resilience Plan (NRRP), and the court's
expression of strong dismay at these reports, official sources
said Wednesday.
The source said that It is reported that, for the government,
the minister for the NRRP, Raffaele Fitto, and the
undersecretaries for the premiership, Alfredo Mantovano and
Giovanbattista Fazzolari, will be present.
For the Court, President Guido Carlino, Deputy President Tommaso
Miele, Attorney General Angelo Canale and Secretary General
Franco Massi will attend.
