Several southern Italian cities are
happy with gas pipeline development to help wean Italy off
Russian gas amid the Ukraine war, unlike northern counterparts
who are resisting regasification plants, Premier Giorgia Meloni
said in her year end press conference Thursday.
"We are working to solve the the problem of the bottleneck of
our gas pipelines in central Italy which is currently too
small," she said.
When it is resolved Italy will also have the possibility of
enhancing several cities of southern Italy, also on the issue of
gas supply and gas pipelines.
"They would be more than happy to have development addressing an
issue that is strategic for Italy and Europe"..
