Outgoing Premier Mario Draghi told
trade unions and business representatives that the government
has not stopped working even though parliament has been
dissolved for elections on September 25 after the coalition
supporting his executive fell apart, sources said on Tuesday.
The government will remain in office until a new executive is
formed after the election.
Draghi told Tuesday's meeting that there is a lot of do in the
meantime, the sources said.
The premier said autumn is set to be complex and he wants to
involve everyone in tackling the challenges, including the
knock-on effects of the war in Ukraine and the economic fallout.
