Milan prosecutors are challenging a
decision by the city's appeal court to drop a case against
former League leader Umberto Bossi and his son Renzo over the
alleged misappropriation of party funds.
The appeals court dropped the case against the two Bossis
after Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Matteo decided, in
his role as current League leader, to press charges against the
party's former treasurer Francesco Belsito but not against them.
Belsito was handed a prison term of 20 months and a
750,000-euro fine.
The prosecutors argue that charges should have been pressed
against Bossi and his son.
