Calabria Governor Mario
Oliverio was issued an order to stay in his town of residence on
Monday in relation to an abuse-of-office probe regarding public
tenders, sources said.
In total 16 people received notification of restrictive
measures in relation to the investigation by finance police in
Cosenza.
Prosecutors had requested that the governor, a member of the
centre-left Democratic Party, be put under house arrest, the
sources said.
