Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini and
Economy Minister Giovanni Tria issued a joint statement
Wednesday saying "there is no chaos on the flat tax. Deputy
premier and economy minister say the same thing and the same
figures with a different perspective".
They said "the resources earmarked are those effectively said
by Tria (in 2019 600 million, to then rise to 1.8 billion in
2020 and 2.3 billion in 2021)."
They said "in total for the flat tax when it is fully applied
there is 1.7 billion, as Salvini maintains," the statement said.
The ministers added that "in the course of the three-year
period we will lower taxes with an annual average to be
estimated at 1.7 billion euros".
