Prosecutors are probing 400,000 euros of allegedly illegal party funds paid out by Rome businessman Luca Parnasi for the construction of AS Roma's new stadium including 250,000 to the League, sources said Friday.
Some 150,000 were paid out in recent months to the EYU Foundation, close to the centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD), and PD treasurer and MP Francesco Bonifazi is under investigation.
The 250,000 euros was allegedly paid to the not-for-profit Più Voci, close to the League, in 2015, judicial sources said.
The position of League treasurer Giulio Centemero is being assessed, prosecutors said.
