ISTAT said Friday that it
estimates that Italy's GDP grew 1.6% in 2017.
That is 0.1 of a percentage point higher than the estimate of
1.5% the national statistics agency gave in April.
The debt-to-GDP ratio was 131.2% in 2017, down from 131.4% in
2016, ISTAT said.
The agency said it had revised down both figures with respect
to previous estimates of 132% for 2016 and 131.8% for 2017.
Italy's deficit-to-GDP ratio was 2.4% in 2017, ISTAT said.
This is slightly worse than the estimate of 2.3% given in
April, although the revised figure is still better than the 2.5%
deficit registered in 2016.
