Italy has "fully come onto
the radar of international investors" said Industry Minister
Federica Guidi on Monday, speaking to a group of entrepreneurs
at a conference on Italian business innovation.
"We're no longer perceived as a country of little
proprietors. We're seen as a country of small, dynamic,
innovative businesses that know how to take every opportunity
for creating new value. I'm not referring only to the economic
value of shares," Guidi said.
"Despite the economic crisis, we've managed to keep and
often develop a high manufacturing capacity that sometimes
escapes statistical indices, but one that Italy counts on,"
Guidi said.
"You've known how to put that innovative process into
action, often coming about in an informal way, essential for
making our products unique".
