The Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, met today with the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Jelena Begović. The focus of the meeting was scientific cooperation between Italy and Serbia and the organisation in the coming months of a scientific forum between the two countries. Also discussed were the progress of the two bilateral protocols on research and innovation in force, the most recent signed in March 2023, and the new joint projects between Italian and Serbian institutions in the research and innovation sector.
"Serbia has now established itself as a regional centre of excellence in the field of biotechnology, artificial intelligence, agritech and green transition. We want to make the most of the possible synergies between Italian and Serbian realities in these fields, and that is why we are aiming to realise a new bilateral scientific forum in the autumn," Ambassador Gori said. "Italy," he added, "aims with conviction at technological development and scientific cooperation with Serbia as a means of strengthening economic relations between our two countries."
