Italians will spend an average
of around 740 euros per capita on winter holidays this season,
up 12% on the 660 euros spent last term, according to a study by
the Confturismo-Confcommercio business associations with the
Istituto Piepoli research institute.
The poll said that seven of 10 winter holidaymakers will stay
in Italy for their trips, with Trentino Alto Adige, Tuscany and
Lombardy the top regions in terms of destinations.
