Turin Mayor Chiara Appendino on
Monday said the city will evaluate whether it could hold a
planned exhibition on Manet, but that it is no longer possible
to work with Turin Museum Foundation President Patrizia Asproni.
"We want to build a model in which abilities, expertise and
relations belong to the city and not the mayor on duty: a model
based on personal relationships weakens the city," Appendino
said.
On Saturday she called on Asproni to resign, claiming that
Asproni didn't inform the city that the exhibition was in
difficulty thus not allowing the city to intervene in time.
