The Italian husband of a 30-year-old
Moroccan-Italian 'mom-influencer' was arrested Thursday on
suspicion of stabbing her in the chest and leaving her in a
serious condition in a Turin hospital.
Soukaina El Basri's husband Jonathan Maldonato has been arrested
on suspicion of attempted murder.
The woman, who goes under the online handle of Siu, has more
than 80,000 followers who regularly like her videos of herself
and the couple's two young children.
El Basri was admitted to hospital Wednesday with a stab wound to
the chest.
She is not in a life-threatening condition, as initially
reported, hospital sources said.
However, she has been put in a drug-induced coma.
The couple went to the hospital together and reported that Siu
had had a domestic accident resulting in a hole in her chest.
