Pollution is not rising in Italian
cities, Kyoto Club and National Research Council (CNR)
researchers said in their 'MobilitAria' report Wednesday.
Pollution levels have not increased significantly, except in a
few cases, and then only moderately, said the report.
Last year saw no growth in nitrogen dioxide (N02) values.
Instead, there was a decrease in concentrations of particulate
Pm10 in Rome (-4%), Turin (-12%), Milan (-20%), Genoa (-5%),
Bari (-4%), Bologna (-16%), Cagliari (-4%) and Naples (-4%).
There were modest rises, however, for values in Messina (+10%),
Palermo (+4%) and Florence (+4%).
