A fresh anticyclone is set to sweep
away the rain that dampened many Italians' Easter, forecasters
said Tuesday.
"It will gradually get warmer and sunnier in most parts," said
Antonio Sanò, founder of the IlMeteo.it website.
Temperatures will rise "significantly" in most of Italy from
Thursday on, after lingering showers especially in the north on
Wednesday, said Sanò.
The fresh balmy spell is set to last until the end of next
weekend, he said.
Italy was split in two on Easter Monday with people taking dips
in the sea amid spring-like temps in Sicily and skiing on heaps
of new snow in the north.
Other parts saw a fresh bout of showers and high winds.
