Police in the southern Lazio city of
Frosinone on Sunday arrested a young man on suspicion of
homicide in relation to a shooting on Saturday evening in which
one person was killed and four more were injured, one of whom
seriously.
The suspect, a 23-year-old Albanian national, is believed to
have acted with three others, who are now being sought by
police.
They are said to have arrived in a Lancia Ypsilon that was later
abandoned and targeted the group sitting in a bar in Frosinone's
central Via Aldo Moro.
The victims were all also Albanian.
Investigators believe the shooting may have been motivated by
a turf war over control of the drug and prostitution rackets in
Frosinone.
