Italy will be swept by more rain and
snow causing flood risks in several parts this week while the
coming weekend will see the arrival of two new storm fronts, as
a wave of extreme weather continues to batter the Bel Paese,
weatherman Lorenzo Tedici said Tuesday.
Milder temperatures will increase the risk of more avalanches in
the north of Italy too, he said.
On the brighter sides, the abundant rain and snow fall should
make sure that Italy's chronic spring drought problems are
somewhat eased this year, said Tedici.
The two fresh storm fronts will dump another heap of snow on the
Alps this weekend, said Tedici, a meteorologist at the
IlMeteo.it website.
